Official Betting Terms at DraftKings
When it comes to officially betting on horse races, sports or other events, there are a number of terms that are used to describe the types of bets and odds offered. An “exacta” entails picking the first two finishers in a race in exact order; a “quinella” is the same, except that you can pick the winner in either order; a “trifecta box” is three winners in any order; and a “Pick Six” requires you to select the winner of six consecutive races.
All bets will be settled based on the official result as outlined by the official governing body of the sport. This includes overtime and shootouts, unless otherwise stated in the specific bet market. Games that are postponed will see all bets stand if they are rescheduled and played the same day. Games that are abandoned before any play is made will see all bets void unless they are restarted within 24 hours.
DraftKings prohibits “influence betting” – any bet that involves the attempt to bribe, solicit, or otherwise offer money or anything of value to an individual to alter the outcome of a game or event. This is a criminal offense and can lead to suspension or revocation of your account.
